Boat and watercraft insurance in Scottsdale
Lake Pleasant and Saguaro. Hull, liability, and the trailer — not a silent auto endorsement.
A boat on a trailer in a Scottsdale driveway, a slip story at Lake Pleasant, or a ski day on Saguaro is not “covered because I have a car policy.” Homeowners watercraft limitations are easy to blow through. Horsepower, length, and whether you tow skiers or a tube decide whether you need a real boat and watercraft policy.
What the boat policy is doing
A recreational watercraft form is trying to cover liability on the water, physical damage to the hull and motors, equipment, and often trailering. The trailer may need its own mention. Watersports liability is not automatic — if you tow, say it. A jet ski or other personal watercraft is the same conversation with different length and HP facts.
The long recreational article — bikes, ATVs, boats, and carts together — is the motorcycle and rec guide. This page is the watercraft file: Lake Pleasant, Saguaro, and the other Valley lakes people actually use from this office. We do not need a sea story. We need the HIN, motor details, and where it is stored.
- HIN, year, length, hull type, motors
- Where it is stored: driveway, garage, yard, or a slip you can name
- Lake Pleasant, Saguaro, Bartlett, or “we trailer to wherever is open”
- Operators and experience
- Watersports, overnight trips, or any rental use — if you rent it out, say so
- Lienholder and a realistic value; we will not invent one
Auto, umbrella, and the trailer
Towing on I-17 is still a vehicle conversation. The household autos belong on the vehicle hub and the auto guide. Liability on the water is why we look at umbrella and whether that umbrella will sit over the boat. Some umbrellas want the toy scheduled. Some will not take the HP. Disclose it.
A boat that is really a business — rental fleet, tour, or a restaurant patio on the water — is commercial, not this page.
How we place it
Farmers first. We are a Farmers agency. Colby Neal is a third-generation Farmers agent. If Farmers cannot write the length, the horsepower, the operator age, or the storage, we use Kraft Lake markets including Foremost, Pacific Specialty, Progressive, National General, Mercury, Liberty Mutual, Travelers, Branch, Stillwater, and Steadily, depending on the toy. We will say which company we are using. We will not publish a made-up hull rate.
English, Portuguese, Spanish. Licensed AZ, CA, OK, TX if the boat lives part-year in another of those states. 10601 N Hayden Rd, Ste 112, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.

FAQ
Does homeowners cover my boat?
Sometimes a small amount, then it stops. HP and length are how people find the exclusion. Call (480) 860-0860.
Is trailering included?
Often, if we schedule it correctly. The tow vehicle still needs auto coverage.
Do you only write Farmers?
Farmers first. Other markets when Farmers cannot place the watercraft.
Lakes we actually hear on the call
Lake Pleasant and Saguaro are the names that come up most from this office. People also trailer to Bartlett and to whatever launch is open. Storage in the driveway in Scottsdale or Fountain Hills is still storage. A slip you can name is storage too. Horsepower and length are not decoration — they are how homeowners “watercraft” sub-limits get blown through on a Saturday.
If kids operate the ski boat, say so. If you host friends, that is still personal use; if you charge for a day on the water, that is not. We will not invent a hull value or a “Valley boat discount.” Farmers first, then Foremost and the other Kraft Lake recreational markets when the preferred form will not take the motor. Same desk as the cars: 10601 N Hayden Rd, Ste 112, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. Call (480) 860-0860 with the HIN and whether you tow a tube.
