Scottsdale Auto Insurance Quote (Household Bundle)

Arizona’s legal minimum keeps you from driving bare. It does not keep a bad intersection on Scottsdale Road from following you home. If you have a house, a pool, teen drivers, or a newer vehicle, “minimums” are a compliance choice, not a protection choice.

We quote the cars. We also ask what else sits in the household, because that is how limits and discounts stay honest.

Arizona’s minimum — and why we still talk about more

The Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions publishes the state minimum as 25/50/15:

  • $25,000 bodily injury per person
  • $50,000 bodily injury per accident
  • $15,000 property damage

That is the floor to drive legally. It is not sized for a serious injury, a newer SUV, or damage to someone else’s parked cars plus a block wall.

Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage (UM/UIM) is offered on Arizona policies. You can reject it in writing. We do not recommend rejecting it just to win a price. If the at-fault driver has no insurance, or only 25/50, UM/UIM is what pays your injury up to the limit you bought.

We will not invent a premium here. Limits, deductibles, drivers, garaging ZIP, and vehicles change the number.

What “full coverage” actually means in this office

People say “full coverage” when they mean “the bank will accept it.” Usually that is:

  • Liability (the 25/50/15 or, better, higher limits)
  • Comprehensive — theft, storm, animal, vandalism, falling objects
  • Collision — you hit something, or someone hits you and you need your own collision
  • UM/UIM
  • Often rental and roadside

Comprehensive and collision are how your car gets repaired. Liability is how their car and their injuries get paid when you are at fault.

If the car is paid off, dropping comp/collision can be a cash-flow decision. It is also a “can I replace this car from savings” decision. We will run both.

The household bundle — not a gimmick

Scottsdale households that call us usually have more than one car. They often have a house or condo, maybe a rental, maybe a golf cart or a motorcycle.

When the same agency writes the auto and the home:

  • Liability limits can be stacked under one Scottsdale umbrella insurance
  • You are less likely to have a car on 25/50 and a $1 million umbrella that will not sit over it
  • One office knows the teen driver, the pool, and the LLC
  • Multi-policy pricing, when it exists, is real — we just will not quote a fake percentage in a blog post

If we are already quoting Scottsdale home insurance, Scottsdale condo insurance, or Scottsdale renters insurance, bring the vehicle list to the same call.

Business use is the other split. DoorDash, a work van, or a crew truck can belong on commercial auto, not a personal policy. That is Scottsdale commercial insurance.

Drivers, teens, and who has to be listed

Arizona households get sideways when a licensed person in the house is “not on the policy.” Carriers want the people who live there and have access to the keys.

Tell us:

  • Everyone in the household of driving age
  • Who is excluded, if anyone, and why
  • Teen permit / license dates
  • Any out-of-state student
  • Accidents, tickets, and claims — we will see them on the report anyway

Exclusions are sometimes the only way to make a risk work. They are also how a claim gets denied if that person was driving. We will say that out loud.

How we place auto in this agency

Farmers first. We are a Farmers Insurance agency. Colby Neal is a third-generation Farmers agent.

Bristol West for some auto risks Farmers will not take — driving record, prior lapses, or a profile that does not fit the preferred company. That is still in the Farmers family of options we use, not a random internet brand.

Other markets if we need them. Through Kraft Lake we can look at carriers such as Progressive, National General, Mercury, Liberty Mutual, Travelers, Branch, Stillwater, Foremost, Steadily, and Pacific Specialty, depending on the line.

We do not pick a company because an ad said it was cheapest in Arizona. We pick the one that will bind your drivers and your cars.

Amanda manages the office. Dani is the CSR you will hear from on ID cards and changes. Jordan works new quotes with us. English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Motorcycles, golf carts, and the “other” vehicles

A street motorcycle is not an endorsement you hide. See motorcycle insurance. Golf carts in gated communities, side-by-sides up toward Carefree, and boats all have their own questions. If it is parked at the house, mention it on the auto call so we do not miss a gap.

What we need to quote

  • Names, dates of birth, and license info for drivers
  • VINs or year/make/model
  • Garaging address (not always the same as mailing)
  • Current carrier, limits, and expiration
  • Lienholder if any
  • Use: commute, pleasure, business, ride-share
  • SR-22 if you need one — say it
  • Home or renter policy if you want the household quoted together

Need same-day proof for a purchase? Call before you are in the finance office. We can usually move faster when we already have the household.

Snowbirds, multi-state, and the second garage

We are licensed in Arizona, California, Oklahoma, and Texas. If the car lives in Scottsdale six months and somewhere else six months, the garaging story has to be true. We will not write a Scottsdale policy for a car that actually lives in another state just to save money.

Office hours are Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm. Weekends by appointment. The address is 10601 N Hayden Rd, Ste 112 — between Hayden and Scottsdale Road.

Call or text (480) 860-0860. Tell us the cars, the drivers, and whether you want the house in the same quote. That is the next step — not an online “check my price” button.

If a friend sends you and they bind, ask about our $25 referral reward.

FAQ

What is the minimum auto insurance in Arizona? 25/50/15 liability, per Arizona DIFI. We will still talk to you about higher liability and UM/UIM.

Do I have to buy uninsured motorist coverage? Insurers must offer UM/UIM. You can reject it in writing. We would rather you understand it before you sign it away.

Can you insure me if I have tickets or a lapse? Often. That is one reason we have Bristol West and other markets, not only preferred Farmers auto. Call (480) 860-0860.

Will bundling home and auto save me money? Sometimes. We will quote it both ways when we can. The bigger issue is matching limits for an umbrella.

Do you only write Farmers? Farmers first, Bristol West for some auto, other markets when we need them.
